35. On The River

Rain in Florida is not unusual. What does feel unusual for me is rain lasting for days upon days. The rains we have been getting in the last couple weeks feel more like the rainy seasons we used to experience when we lived in Panama. The morning news has been full of flood advisories and warnings not to drive through flooded streets.
I decided to take another tiny Playmobil man out to the street/river in front of my house for a little creative photo shoot. The gutter must seem like a river when you are 2 1/2 inches tall!
All my clothes are now in the dryer….

  4. I love this! Ansley commented on the way home yesterday every time we saw a decent puddle…. =)

  5. Love it! … Of course I wish I’d been there to take a photo of you in the gutter TAKING the photo.

    • That would have been a funny shot P. My rain coat hat kept falling in my face and blocking my view. I probably looked like I was punching myself in the face. I ended up nearly flat on the ground and soaking wet. I tried not to make eye contact with the 1 car that drove past! Lol

  6. Hmmm – I wonder what the neighbors think of you – hahaha! So cute. I love the creativity and the colors.

  7. This is too cute. I love the little people perspective. And I can imagine you taking this.

  8. This is so funny. Mindy. I am so looking forward to seeing what your little people will get up to.

  11. looks like you and the little guy caught a good one.

    • It was almost the one that got away. I got all the way out there and realized I lost the fish on the way to the curb. I had to retrace my steps all the way back to the front door to find it!

  12. I think you should send your pics to the company– this was fantastic

  21. This is very creative and so cute. I love close up and macro type photography but I never really thought about using little people. I noticed your tag Canon 5D Mark ll I use the same camera most of the time. My 50D is my crop sensor camera and right now I need to send it into Canon the shutter button went out..

    • Thank you? Using the little people has been a fun way for me to change thing up a bit and bring some more fun into my project. I love my 5d. It’s been a real work horse for me.

  22. You know your are serious about something when brave the nasty weather for the “money shot!” Just when we all thought you would melt. lol I agree with Daisy, I think you should send this to Playmobil!
