A theme based photo blog

42. Skyline Panorama

When this photo challenge year began I expected that this theme photo would be a skyline photo of downtown Sarasota. Fortunately for me I recently had an opportunity to visit Mormon Row in Grand Teton National Park. In the area several original cabins, barns and other structures still stand watch at the base of the Tetons.

Myself along with three other photography friends woke up before sunrise and made the pilgrimage to photograph a pair of barns built by T.A. Moulton in an area called Antelope Flats in the southern portion of the park.

It was definitely worth the early morning alarm, layers of clothes and wearing winter gloves!

27. Lost/Forgotten Items

While visiting Mary Nell in Chattanooga, TN we  explored an old barn with our cameras. I saw these old bottles sitting along the wall and loved how the light made the liquid inside seem to glow.  We managed to snap off quite a few photos considering both Mr. Impatiences were waiting for us in the car!

8. Distortion

I spent this past weekend kicking around Chattanooga, TN with my friend and fellow blogger Mary Nell. We both had some really fun and creative ideas that we collected photos for.  I have been wanting to try this fun technic I learned about recently at a photoshop workshop. It’s called Polar Planets. To start you need a nice panoramic photo that you can match up really nice on the ends. I thought this barn photo would be a good candidate. It’s only my second attempt so it isn’t perfect.

I thought you might like to see the original image as well. You can see just how much distortion I added!
