38. Ready For A Book Cover

A friend texted me this little saying over the weekend. She knows me well! Much to the chagrin of my husband I have become a fan of mermaids lately. I thought it would be great as my book cover theme if I paired it with a photo I took at the beach!

1. A Hot Ride

Today I stopped in at the Manatee Convention Center to check out some of the cars that will be offered at auction this weekend at the D.E. Foeller 17th Annual Collector Car Auction. I was in search of a photo to match my “A Hot Ride” theme. I think I found it in the paint job of this car!

28. Love Is…

This morning I was told about a place called Emerson Point Preserve near Palmetto, Florida. It’s about a 30 minute drive from my house. I had already made a plan to be near there and it was a beautiful day so I went to check it out. I did a google earth search before hand and did a little poking around. There was a photo posting of a tree called “The Hands of Time.” I thought it was really interesting so while I was there I went on a hunt.  It is much different now then it was when the photo online was taken. Originally it was a palm tree trunk wrapped in the arms of a mangrove tree. Now there is just a piece of the palm tree left. To me it looked like the mangrove tree was hugging the palm tree. As I looked closer I noticed that people have left behind little carvings as a declaration of their love. Hence the posting with the theme, “Love Is.” I’m looking forward to going back sometime soon!  If your interested in reading more about Emerson Point Preserve visit their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Emerson.Point.Preserve

49. Ugly

I’m going to use my Sea Hagg photo for my “Ugly” shot. I suppose to a small child she might seem ugly, but looking through my lens baby I thought she was pretty!

46. The Color Pink

For my “The Color Pink,” I chose P!nk, aka Alecia Beth Moore. When I noticed this ad on a taxi cab in New York City I immediately thought of my 52 Week Photo Challenge. Sometimes the list of themes feels blazed into my brain!
